Types of Treatment

  • Osteopathy – Holistic manual treatment that focuses on the body’s interconnections rather than just your symptoms. I treat everything from back and sports injuries to digestive issues, concussion and the aftereffects of covid-19. Osteopathic treatment can also be chosen to optimise your performance within your sport or movement discipline!
  • Physiotherapy – Classic rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and injuries through targeted exercises and manual treatment.
  • Free screening – Are you unsure what osteopathy is, or whether I can help with your specific issue? Book a free screening and get clarity before committing to a course of treatment.

My Treatments

I draw on all my experience in body, movement and breath from my physiotherapy training and my background as a movement teacher to help people improve strength, mobility, body awareness and find a sense of ease. I incorporate osteopathic techniques from my osteopathy training such as joint mobilisations, myofascial release, visceral mobilisation and soft tissue techniques to help the body heal itself. Treatment can result in an experience of full and free breathing, a better sense of grounding, increased mobility and strength, and a lightness in the body.

These treatments are for you if you wish for more flow and freedom in your body. Whether you have pain, an injury, are struggling with stress, headaches, digestive issues, or simply want to improve your connection to yourself, you are welcome. Exactly as you are.

Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ

What is osteopathy, and how does it differ from physiotherapy?

Osteopathy is a manual form of treatment that views the body as an interconnected whole. Rather than only treating the area that hurts, the focus is on the relationship between joints, muscles, connective tissue, organs and the nervous system. An osteopath finds the root cause of your pain or symptoms and treats that.

Physiotherapy is often more localised and exercise-based, while osteopathy more broadly investigates why the problem has arisen.

Is my treatment covered by my health insurance or Sygeforsikring Danmark?

Sygeforsikring Danmark (group 1, 2 or 5) – You receive a subsidy of 140 kr. for your first consultation and 90 kr. for follow-up consultations (as of April 2026).

PFA Helbredsforsikring – PFA typically covers according to the current agreed rates for physiotherapy – either the full state-set rate or the regional amount. This corresponds to up to 529.63 kr. / 208.14 kr. for the first consultation and 336.76 kr. / 132.35 kr. for follow-up consultations (as of April 2026). See current rates here.

Nordic Netcare – Typically covers according to the agreed rates for physiotherapy – you pay the remaining portion yourself. Up to 529.63 kr. / 208.14 kr. for the first consultation and 336.76 kr. / 132.35 kr. for follow-up consultations (as of April 2026). See current rates here.

Danica Pension / Insurance – Typically covers according to the agreed rates for physiotherapy when you have a doctor’s referral and choose a clinic outside their fixed network. Do you have an insurance I haven’t mentioned? Feel free to write to me – many insurers provide coverage when you have free choice of provider on your referral.

Not sure? Contact your insurance directly – they can always confirm whether you are covered with me.

What can an osteopath help with?

An osteopath works with a wide range of issues, for example:

  • jaw tension and headaches
  • back and neck pain
  • ankle, knee and hip pain
  • digestive issues
  • stress and tension in the body
  • menstrual pain and pelvic issues
  • concussion and dizziness
  • pain without a clear cause

Treatment is always based on how your body functions as a whole – not just the symptom.

What does an osteopathic treatment involve?

At your first consultation, the treatment begins with a conversation and a thorough examination of your body. I then work manually on the treatment table with tissue, joints, the nervous system, circulation, organ system and more, and provide advice or exercises to support the treatment.

Treatment is always tailored to your specific issue and your wishes. It may include elements that are calm and relaxing as well as more direct elements such as joint manipulations. Osteopathic treatment is not about “fixing” – it is about supporting the body in healing itself.

At follow-up treatments, we review the effect since last time and carry out a new examination of your body, before I continue with the hands-on treatment.

Is osteopathy relevant if I don’t have pain?

Yes. Many seek out osteopathy for:

  • sports optimisation and athlete programmes
  • general wellbeing
  • maintaining functional levels
  • tension in the body
  • tightness
  • reduced mobility
  • or a feeling that the body is not functioning optimally

Osteopathy can also be used preventatively and to support the body’s regulation.

Can I eat and drink before treatment?

Yes, you can.

It is generally most comfortable not to arrive on a completely full stomach, so your body can be more relaxed during treatment. At the same time, it is not ideal to be hungry either, as this can affect your body’s sense of calm and focus.

If we are working with the stomach or digestion, it may make sense to have eaten lightly a couple of hours beforehand. You are also welcome to drink water as normal – this can actually support the body’s response after treatment.

What does a treatment cost, and how do I pay?

A treatment costs 700 kr. and is paid directly at the clinic by cash, MobilePay or card.

If you fall ill or have an unexpected obstacle, just let me know – we will find a new time. Please give me as much notice as possible so I can offer the slot to someone else. In the case of a no-show without any notice, the full amount of 700 kr. will be charged.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No – you simply book directly in my calendar without a referral. The clinic does not operate under the public health insurance system, so it is not a requirement.

If you have private health insurance, you may in some cases need a doctor’s referral to receive a subsidy for physiotherapy. Your insurer will determine this, so check with them before booking if you are unsure.

How many treatments will I need?

This varies from person to person and depends on your issue, your body and how long you have had your symptoms. Some things resolve quickly, others require a longer course of treatment. I will always expect you to notice a change in your symptoms or wellbeing within the first 2–3 treatments. We will talk about this at your first consultation so you have a realistic expectation from the start.

Do you treat pregnant women?

Yes, I treat throughout all trimesters. Treatment is always adapted to where you are in your pregnancy and what your body needs. If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to write to me.

Do you treat children?

I treat from the age of 16. If you or your child are under 16, you are welcome to write to me so we can work out whether I am able to help.

Can I be sore after treatment?

Some people notice a mild soreness or fatigue in the body the day after – this is a normal reaction as the body integrates the treatment. Others notice nothing at all. If you experience something you are unsure about, you are always welcome to write to me.

What should I wear to treatment?

Loose clothing in soft material is the best starting point – it allows me to easily access and work with the body. Try to avoid tight waistbands over the stomach and hips. In some cases it may be necessary to be more lightly dressed, so I can better feel and see how the body is working. Many people remove the top layers in the treatment room, or bring something lighter to change into if they prefer. We always find a solution that feels comfortable for you.

Where is the clinic, and how do I get there (parking and public transport)?

You will find me at Livets Klinik, Blågårdsgade 33, st., 2200 Copenhagen N – right on the corner of Blågårdsgade and Korsgade in Nørrebro.

By bus – Lines 5C and 350S: Get off at Ravnsborggade (Nørrebrogade) – approximately 5 minutes’ walk from there. Line 68: Get off at Blågårdsgade (Åboulevard) – just around the corner from the clinic.

By metro or train – Nørreport Station: Walk across Dronning Louises Bro (approx. 10–12 min) or take bus 5C two stops to Ravnsborggade. Forum Station (M1/M2): Approximately 10 minutes’ walk.

By car – Det Grønne Parkeringshus (The Green Car Park) – entrance via Blågårdsgade 57. Parking at Baggesensgade 36 – a short walk from the clinic.

Is the clinic accessible for wheelchair users?

The clinic is located at street level and you can enter through the main door in a wheelchair. The treatment room itself is unfortunately five steps up and is not accessible by wheelchair. If you are unsure whether the clinic is the right choice for you, you are very welcome to write to me before booking.
